About us

Founded by Simon Standage and Richard Hickox, Collegium Musicum 90 has a well-established reputation for the performance of baroque and classical music, its repertory ranging from chamber pieces to large-scale works for choir and orchestra.

The ensemble is highly acclaimed for its performances and recordings and has made more than sixty CDs under its exclusive contract with Chandos Records.

It has appeared in concert at the BBC Proms and music festivals in Poland, Hungary, Germany and Austria, among others.

Performances by the Collegium Musicum 90 chamber ensemble, in the UK, Germany and Poland, have also been enthusiastically received.

Simon Standage

CM90's discography includes recordings of the complete violin concertos of Bach and Jean-Marie Leclair with Simon Standage as director and violin soloist, as well as orchestral works by Handel, Albinoni, Torelli, Vivaldi, Arne and Stanley.

A series of discs devoted to suites and concertos by Telemann has championed that composer's cause. The most recent of these, The Autograph Scores, prompted the German magazine Concerto to comment "it is not for nothing that Standage received the Telemann Prize of the City of Magdeburg".
